You can also sort the teas using a couple different methods, Tea Name (alphabetical), Newly Added (newest teas entered on Steepster), and Most Popular. The first two are fairly standard, but let’s dive into some details about the Most Popular.
The Most Popular teas are the ones with the greatest number of tasting notes. The more tasting notes, the bigger the circle to the right of the tea listing. Fewer tasting notes means a smaller circle; and no tasting notes means a tiny dot.
The circles can also be different colors: green, gray, or red. Green indicates a greater percentage of thumbs up, gray is a somewhat equal percentage of thumbs up vs. thumbs down, and red is a greater percentage of thumbs down.
These new indicators give you a quick sense of how other people feel about a tea and whether they’ve been writing about it.
